Exit the Exempt

Isaiah 52:1 Awake, awake!
Put on your strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city!
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Shall no longer come to you.
2 Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
Sit down, O Jerusalem!
Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion!

In the parable of Matthew 22: 10-14, the king had invited everyone, good and bad, to the feast. But when he got there bedecked in robes of righteousness, he expected to find his guests clothed in the glorious garments of salvation that he had provided. But there was one man still wearing the clothes of the old man, not realizing the power of those words: “For the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer come to you.” We are indeed saved out of sin and corruption. There is a day in the future when the Bridegroom will return for his Bride when the distinction shall be made with the exit of the exempt. But even before then, the Lord exhorts that we take off the old man of sin and put on the new man of righteousness as explained in Ephesians 4:22-24(AMP) 22 that, regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature], which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, 23 and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude], 24 and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. In this regard then we are responsible with the help of the Holy Spirit to strip off corrupt attitudes and carnal ways of thinking, and think like Christ.
